Taste depends on how you flavor it August 10, 2008 I eat it all the time. Mix 1/2-1 cup of cereal to 1/2-1 cup of skin milk. One packet of nutrasweet or splenda and 20 seconds in the microwave creates a warm cereal or skip the microwave for a crispy meal. Add yogurt and delete milk or add fresh blueberries, strawberries, or banana. Taste is excellent and loaded with fiber. I usually eat it every other day.
The lowest carb/calorie/sugar highest fiber cereal you can buy! August 7, 2008 I was so devastated when All Bran Extra Fiber started getting pulled from my local grocery shelves to make room for All Bran with yogurt bites, (blech), the All Bran with dried strawberries, (no thanks, I'll put fresh fruit on when I'm in the mood). I don't like the original, too much like straw. The flakes taste good but it doesn't keep me regular like the extra fiber. I enjoy it with milk with or without fruit, or mixed with another cereal, but just as often I put it in a baggie and just munch on it dry while drinking my coffee on the road. Honestly I challenge anyone to find a cereal that ounce for ounce provides more fiber while at the same time the lowest calories and carbs of any fiber cereal out there! I was so upset I wrote to Kelloggs and they put me on to finding it here. Please Amazon grocery. Warn me if you will no longer be carrying this cereal at some point so I can buy a 40 year supply!
Boaring but healthy and a must fiber cereal July 24, 2008 I have been eating this cereal for many many years now. I usually combine this cereal with Basic 4 since Kellogg All Bran ExtraFiber is a dry cereal with no sugar or fruits or nuts in it. If you try eating this cereal by itself, it will taste like saw dust (not that I have tasted saw dust, but you get the point, right?). So, try eating this cereal with another type to balance out the taste. However, from a nutrition point of view, you cannot beat this cereal. It has ton of fiber and vitamins. Definitely good for your heart and your GI system.
ALL BRAN Extra Fiber Great w/Chocolate Soy Milk June 5, 2008 At first I was disappointed with the flavor of the cereal by itself due to the large amount of fiber. I thought the box would probably taste better than the cereal. However, after I ate it with chocolate soy milk and a couple of Splenda packets, it tastes GREAT. It might be OK with the plain soy milk, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
bad stuff May 26, 2008 kellog's all-bran extra fiber cereal. This stuff is inedible. Made of cardboard or something like it. leaves sand in your mouth. I was hoping for better. I will have to try the original product and see if it is that bad.
