 Excellent Soundtrack For An Excellent Movie! October 7, 2008

Most definately a finely-crafted soundtrack; Hanz Zimmer delivers yet again. The music covers so much... exciting suspense, then dark and secretive. Some of it is a bit odd, but most of the soundtrack fits perfectly with the theme of the movie.

I believe it has already been summed up well by other positive reviews from others much more knowledgeable about music than myself. It is an amazing album and amplifies Dark Knight's greatness. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have complemented the movie masterpiece with a musical masterpiece.

Absolutely brilliant soundtrack which is dark, menacing and brooding, perfectly complimenting the excellent Dark Knight. I must confess I paid little attention to the soundtrack while watching the movie at the cinema (3 times), but I am delighted that from the first track it conjures powerful images from the movie and so perfectly describes in music the three main characters. As an added bonus it alarmed the kids, so at least they won't be running off with it to play in their room!!! BUY IT NOW! You will not be disappointed.

Hans Zimmer keeps on putting out good scores. This soundtrack is no exception. Each track has that "Dark Knight" felling you got when you saw the movie. It has my vote for best soundtrack of the year.

I'm typically one that only buys soundtracks for movies I really enjoy. Over the last several years, that has only been 3 movies. Batman Begins, Transformers, and now The Dark Knight.
Hans Zimmer and James Netwon Howard definitely deliver with this soundtrack. It goes above and beyond what Batman Begins started. I've always enjoyed Hans Zimmer's ability create a memorable theme. That's definitely been done with the theme from Batman begins, which carries over to The Dark Knight.
This has been a wonderful purchase, and one I haven't regretted for a second. I plan to continue to enjoy it for sometime...and expect the next Batman's movie soundtrack to be just as satisfying.
