5 out of 5 stars If you like DBZ... Then you're going to love DB!   August 4, 2000

I've just now gotten into Dragon Ball and I think that it's a whole lot BETTER than DBZ. If you decide to buy this video, PLEASE WAIT AND SAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE BOXED SET! Trust me, you'll feel frustrated whenever the movie ends and you're badly wanting to know what's going to happen next! Anyway, enough of that...

"The Ox King on Fire Mountain" begins whenever Goku, Bulma and Oolong search for the sixth Dragon Ball. Only one problem, the magic orb is in the Ox King's Castle which is covered with fire on a mountain. After the Ox King finds out that Goku is Son Gohan's grandson, he asks Goku to do him a favor-- GO GET THE BANSHO FAN FROM MASTER ROSHI AND TRY TO FIND CHI CHI (his lost daughter) AND GIVE HER RIDE HOME! So no problem, do all that for a Dragon Ball! But over hearing their conversation, Yamcha and Puar hurried over back along the side the road to see if the young, dark-haired girl (who happens to be Chi Chi) is okay after Yamcha had konked her upside the head. She is--of course. But Yamcha and Puar drive away and Goku shortly finds her. So Chi Chi quickly falls in love with Goku and they get Master Roshi (who accidently threw the Basho Fan away) himself to put out the flames on Fire Mountain. ---END.

4 out of 5 stars Really Funny!   February 3, 2000
Bulma, Oolong and Goku are looking for the sixth dragonball which is in the castle on top of fire mountain. Fire mountain is a mountain with flames that burn eternally. While Yamcha nearly kills Chi Chi, Goku, Bulma, Goku and Oolong have a run in with a very angry Ox-King! Ox-King nearly kills Goku until he finds out that Goku is Son Gohan's grandson. He asks Goku to do him 2 favors. One, find his daughter Chi Chi, and two, go to The Turtle hermit's Island to find Master Roshi to put out the fire. When Goku finds a blushing Chi Chi, (I won't say why!),he lets her ride on Nimbus. Of course, Chi Chi falls in love with him,but as usual, Goku is naive. Eventually, Goku and Chi Chi bring Master Roshi to Fire Mountain where he performs the Kamehameha to get rid of the fire. Accidently, though, he destroys the castle and the mountain. In the end, Bulma gets the dragonball from the rubble and Yamcha(who'd been hiding behind a wall the whole time) is as you can imagine, very happy. Oh, and Bulma convinces Oolong to shape-shift into a girl to go on a date with Master Roshi(watch the movie, you'll find out why!) but ends up changing into her which drives Bulma nuts! It ends with Goku, Bulma and Oolong flying away in their new car from Ox-King and Yamcha and Puar following close behind!

This was a good movie. I love DBZ and I wanted to see what DB was like. There isn't as much fighting, but it still has the other stuff.
