Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Written, as he says, with no clear purpose except to keep his mind active and help with some peculiar thought processes , Jon Page states that his book was never meant to be a serious book on the analysis of dreams . The book describes over 60 of the author s dreams from the summer of 2007. We are shown recurrent themes in these dreams, some of which are familiar, some, very personal. There is selective analysis of the dream content the author being a computer guru, takes a systematic approach with text structure. His dominant formula for each dream provides an introduction, a concise description of the most significant features and a selection of key points of interest. Jon Page argues clearly and convincingly that vast amounts of information are processed via these amusing and often surreal dreams. They are used by the brain for data mining ; searching for associations which may help make sense of situations and perhaps predict the future. On reading this book, it is easy to agree with the reader who says that Summer Dreaming represents a very interesting experiment: the coherent study of one person s dreams, allied to a convincing and well thought out argument for a new hypothesis of dreaming, all of it couched in the author s lively and entertaining prose. We learn a great deal from his experiment, and what is more, have fun along the way; and you can t do much better than that.
