Poor quality, 2 dead cells, one exploded on first use May 10, 2008 The charger is mediocre, it only charges PAIRS of batteries, not singles and has no indication of charge complete.
But the batteries are a waste of money... potentially a risk to your equipment.
Two of my 4 NiMH rechargeable cells would not hold a charge - zero volts, right out of the box. One of the "free" alkaline cells literally exploded in a radio, blowing the back of it after 1 hour of moderate (300 mA) rate use, filling the battery case with caustic goo.
I noticed that unlike quality NiMH cells, these "Tech B" cells have no (visible) overpressure vents to prevent their explosion on charging either.
it works February 6, 2008 cheaply made, but it works fine. I had used the batteries for more than 4 years on headlights for my bike. works just fine. The charger works find too.
Charger with Rechargeables and Alkalines August 13, 2007 This is a good charger. It does the job. The batteries do a good job. Can't say much other than that. The price was right.
Free Batteries EXPLODE! November 1, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using this charger and the rechargeables for about a year with no problems. However, I recently used the free alkalines that came along with it. They exploded and leaked battery acid all over my son's toy. I'll never purchase again.
Nice product June 26, 2006 It isn't a well known brand so some will have issues but what can you expect for the price? I had a issue with one of the batteries but contacted amazon about it and they ended up sending me replacements. Great customer service they didn't need to do that! Overall you get what you pay for.
