Product Description This JTL umbrella is an all white shoot through umbrella with the ribs on the inside, concave side. It produces soft, wrap around style lighting perfect for single light portraits. Light loss is minimal, approximately 1 stop depending on the distance to the light unit. The long shaft allows the umbrella to be moved closer to the light source for a narrower beam of soft light or further away for a wide beam of soft light. This wide beam is perfect for lighting couples

| Customer Reviews: Fantastic umbrella April 5, 2009 Ottosmom (Phoenix, AZ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This smaller, shoot-through umbrella is perfect for the person who likes to travel along and take a picture, then travel to different site to take another picture and so on. It comes in it's own plastic carrying case, which is a plus since you don't want it to get dirty when you place it in the trunk of your car or truck. I live in the Southwest in the Phoenix area where the sun is very, very bright washing color right out of a picture. That can be so frustrating, thus the umbrella. Oh how I loved it on the first try. Absolutely wonderful if you enjoy shooting macro pictures or portraits in nature. If I were going to purchase this over again, I'd automatically buy the tripod stand that goes with it.
Also a good sail. Possibly repels water? August 23, 2008 C. Crawford (San Diego, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Just a basic shoot thru umbrella. Doubles over as a nice sail. Catapulted a strobe and a stand over with light force. Gusts of wind aren't good for this product unless you have a heavy light stand. Even after it tried to commit suicide I picked it up and bent some of the spines back and it opens and closes fine. Four stars because it didn't surprise me with anything. But a good product for what it is made for. Not sure if it repels water. I'm sure I will find out sooner or later.
