3 out of 5 stars OK Song   August 16, 2008

I like David Cook as a singer but this song is not his style of music. I know he had no choice but to sing it but his song is just ok for me.

3 out of 5 stars Disney-esque song, but Cook made the most of it   August 4, 2008

David Cook made the most of what he was given--a song that belongs in a Disney Animated Movie. It's ultra-cheesy, and I'm sure he suffers every time he has to sing it, but very few artists could have done a better job. It's a 1 star song, 5 star performance, so I met it halfway and gave him 3 stars. :)

2 out of 5 stars So, so!   July 30, 2008

David has an awesome voice, but I think he needs to be in a different genre of music, definitely not pop. They need to to let him produce a modern rock edged album (Like: Avenged Sevenfold, Sevendust, Anew Revolution, Rev Theory etc.)

5 out of 5 stars I don't remember ever being this excited about any musician or group!   July 27, 2008

Love David Cook. I want more. I want to buy anything this wonderfully talented artist puts out. If his "Analog Heart" or Axium albums ever get re-released I plan on buying them. I can't wait for his album, and yes this song is a typical AI coronation song, but he does bring his own style to it a bit. I love this song, because he is singing it. I went to the American Idols Tour concert, having never done so before, just so I could see and hear him live and he did not disappoint.

I plan on buying at least 5 of his CDs so I can give to family and friends so they can enjoy his talent as much as I do.

5 out of 5 stars Positive, hopeful, theraputic --- not cheesy and sappy   July 21, 2008

I am the first to defend people's opinions, as long as they're delivered with dignity and respect. I am, however, dismayed that songs with triumph and positive messages are labeled cheesy and sappy. When life is such that your sister is suffering from cancer, or one of your children is going through difficult times, or your parents are getting older and maybe even passing on, and your son who is in the service makes you proud and scared by contemplating volunteering to go to Iraq, it is these positive songs that can either give you the momentum to function, or take your mind off your troubles, if only for a few minutes.

This song is so appropriate for the moment it was introduced. David has paid his dues and deserves the success of the song. He has worked hard on his music for years and brought us something very different during his time on Idol. He has a strong voice and huge talent and will be delivering a variety of music in the coming years.

As you go through life and things are good or things are bad, remember the songs that are positive and present a good message, and David Cook, will still be on the radio for years to come and will be giving us the diversion we need to get through the times of our lives, both good and bad.
